Tour: Irresistible Reads Book Tours

I’ll Scratch Your Back, If You’ll Scratch Mine, or you scratch my back and I'll most definitely think about scratching yours - possibly, maybe . . .

Recently I've started looking at businesses and organizations designed to help independent authors promote their books. Some of these business/organizations are fee based and others completely free. (If you're like me - free has a lovely ring to it and certainly gets my attention)

FEE based promotions offer packages designed to fit any author's budget, from Daddy Warbucks to Old Lady in the Shoe. Clearly the more frugal packages are going to be pretty bare-boned compared to the higher priced options. Less time will be scheduled for promotion, less avenues will be sought for promotion, less time and help will be given to managing your promotion. . . you get the picture. Like anything else in this world, fee based promotion has its problems. Most fee based promotion companies are on the up-and-up, and provide a decent product/service. Others will take their tiny fee for their promotion package and honor just enough of their contract to keep them out of trouble. Others will promise much for the money you pay and produce terrible product and promote just enough to keep you handing over more money, until you’ve paid for more than you’ve gotten. The old adages ‘you can’t get something for nothing’ and ‘if it’s too good to be true, it isn’t.’ should be heeded when dealing with the cheap and not so cheap promotion deals.

Fine print is not your friend with these companies, so read before you sign your book away. Many of these promotion companies will try to lay claim to your book rights once you sign with them, which mean they could try to dictate nearly every aspect of publishing, printing and promoting your work. I’ve read horror stories from fellow authors who are still struggling to get there books back.

FREE promotions sites (I love the sound of this particular 'f' word) are free just like they say. There's usually no charge to join, no hidden fees once you start promoting and they don't take a hunk of your book profits. The only cost is your time, your lists of social media contacts and your willingness to follow directions.

These sites are usually always set-up by other authors for the purpose of promoting themselves as well as other authors who want to hop the bandwagon and share their social media connections in pursuit of mutually promoting their works.

This is self-promotion at nearly its most primitive. These groups use a weekly or bi-monthly (usually a genre focused push) of participating author's works, with a rotation of featured novels during the same genre promotion.

However, like anything else, you have to go in with your eyes open. Since joining two of these free sites, I have learned a few things right out of the chute, which I will share with you, free of charge.

First: The 'I'll scratch your back, if you'll scratch mine' thing only works if the other person is willing to do some scratching. Don't go into this thinking everyone shares the mindset of being helpful. Many people who join these sites have no intention of participating or using their contacts to help anyone but themselves. Plan on being a scratcher.

Second: Don't get sucked into the 'I'll read and review your book, if you'll read and review mine' cycle. It's only helpful if the person asking for your review has some social media clout or access to places you don't. Otherwise you're caught in a cycle of buying from and selling to authors, which defeats the purpose of joining.

Third: Be protective of your social media sites and followers, because desperate people will spam the be-jibbers out of your sites if you give them access, which could cost you contacts.

I can't say I've seen much in the way of new sales generation from the sites I've joined, but then it's only been a few weeks. I figure a little more time will tell the tale.

Cheers!
Chrinda Jones

More about the book, Darkness Knows Me:
Richard McMann hangs by his arms from the rafters of Red Curtain Club- naked. His ankles are bound together and his throat is cut in what appears to be a gruesome still-life tribute to Christ’s crucifixion. There is no blood in spite of the gaping wound to his throat and his entire body is covered by what looks like a fine white powder. The salt granules scattered on the dance floor beneath his feet and the fact that his body faces due east, make his murder different yet similar to the death days earlier in a club a few blocks away.

South Dallas police detective, Olivia Gates and criminal psychologist, Dr. Will Green, engage in a game of wits with a serial killer who haunts the nightclubs of Deep Ellum, leaving behind ritualistic sacrifices of those people he believes deserving of the act. Is he a raging psychopath, killing just to kill, or is there method behind his madness?

My Book and My Coffee welcomes Jamie Baywood, author of Getting Rooted in New Zealand (a funny travel memoir).

Ara: Hello lovely readers! Jamie Baywood will be joining us today for an interview.

Hi Jamie! It’s really nice to have this opportunity to talk to you even just for a bit. I’m Ara and welcome to my blog. :P So, please tell us a little bit about yourself.

Jamie: I’m from California. For the past three years, I’ve been disassembling and reassembling my life by moving to different countries. I’ve lived in five countries now; America, American Samoa, New Zealand, Scotland and England.

Ara: AWESOME! I’ve read your bio and I just have to say that I am really impressed. Your courage to make such a major decision and leave everything behind and start a sort of new life in another country is just so inspiring. What made you do that? Was there an event in your life that made you decide to go abroad all of a sudden? I know it said that it was an “impulsive decision” – as in you didn’t really think twice? I am really curious as you can see. :)

Jamie: I just had had enough with California. I didn’t feel like I could grow there anymore. I felt stifled and was completely bombarded by crazy guys trying to date me. In my mid-twenties, I had bad dating experiences in California and always dreamt of living abroad. I read in a tour book that New Zealand’s population had 100,000 fewer men than women. In the attempt to have some ‘me time’ I moved to New Zealand.

Ara: I see... And now, you live in the United Kingdom, right? Well, you certainly love to travel. :) I AM JEALOUS. Hahaha. I want to go there, too! :) Last year, we visited France and Germany and I was like... “next vacation should include the UK!” :D Do you plan to go back to California?

Jamie: I highly recommend visiting Scotland and Wales if you visit the UK. I’ve lived in Scotland in 2012 and now I’m staying in England until 2014. We’ll be moving in 2014, but I’m not sure where yet. I have no plans to go back to California to live. I am open to live just about anywhere in the world. Any suggestions?

Ara: Oh. Thank you for your suggestions. Well, France, perhaps? :) So, let’s talk about your book, Getting Rooted in New Zealand. I understand that this is your first book. Please tell us more about it. What inspired you to write this memoir?

Jamie: I consider myself an accidental author. I didn’t go to New Zealand with the intentions of writing a book about my experiences there. I had funny experiences that I had trouble believing were true. I wrote the stories down to stay sane. I wrote situations down that were happening around me and shared them with friends. The stories made people laugh so I decided to organize the stories into a book and publish in the hopes to make others laugh too.

I was very lucky in New Zealand to meet a lot of talented people. I had the opportunity to write and perform for Thomas Sainsbury the most prolific playwright in New Zealand. I performed a monologue about my jobs in the Basement Theatre in Auckland.

The funny thing about that experience was Tom kept me separated from the other performers until it was time to perform. I was under the impression that all the performers were foreigners giving their experiences in New Zealand. All of the other performers were professional actors telling stories that weren’t their own. At first I was mortified, but the audience seemed to enjoy my “performance,” laughing their way through my monologue. After the shows we would go out and mingle with the audience. People would ask me how long I had been acting. I would tell them, “I wasn’t acting; I have to go to work tomorrow and sit next to the girl wearing her dead dog’s collar.” No one believed I was telling the truth.

Getting Rooted in New Zealand is available in paperback and ebook on Amazon.

Craving change and lacking logic, at 26, Jamie, a cute and quirky Californian, impulsively moves to New Zealand to avoid dating after reading that the country's population has 100,000 fewer men. In her journal, she captures a hysterically honest look at herself, her past and her new wonderfully weird world filled with curious characters and slapstick situations in unbelievably bizarre jobs. It takes a zany jaunt to the end of the Earth and a serendipitous meeting with a fellow traveler before Jamie learns what it really means to get rooted.

Ara: I soooo love that cover!

Jamie: Thank you I designed the cover myself. The girl with the suitcase is a drawing of me. The striped dress and red hat was my first outfit I bought when I moved to New Zealand. The birds are New Zealand native birds like the kiwi and fan tail. The city is Auckland and the tower is New Zealand’s Skytower. The sky in the back ground and the water are pieces of a watercolor painting I did of the New Zealand coastline.

Ara: Wow, you are very talented! Jamie, I’ve read a lot of really awesome reviews about your book. *high five* :) It’s really very impressive. How does it feel to know that there are people that can relate to some of your experiences?

Jamie: I feel very grateful that for the most part readers understand my sense of humor. I’m always surprised and grateful when I receive a positive review. I thought my book would mostly appeal to young women in their 20s or 30s. I was happily surprised by having a couple of men emailing me telling me they loved my book and can’t wait to read the next one.

I don’t consider myself a representative of America and I don’t consider my book a representation of New Zealand. It’s my dairy, not a travel guide. Publishing my book was my way of transforming poison into medicine. I hope that it can help people that have had bad dating experiences or bad work experiences – make them laugh and not give up hope. I had good, bad and weird experiences in New Zealand and California. My experiences have turned me into a writer and I am extremely grateful for that. People that read it either seem to think it’s hilarious or horrifying and I respect all points of view. I hope my book Getting Rooted in New Zealand makes you laugh!

Ara: I'm sure we will enjoy the book! I've seen so many great reviews. I know (coz I’ve read somewhere) that you have a second book! YAY! Is it almost done? If you could, please tell us what we can expect on your next book.

Jamie: My next book will be about attempting to settle down in Scotland. I plan to divide my books by the countries I’ve lived in.

Ara: Really? I'm sure it will be really interesting! Jamie, do you have advice to bloggers out there who want to become a writer?

Jamie: Believe in yourself.

Ara: Thank you for that advice, Jamie. Before we end this interview, I really have to ask these:

Coffee, sweet tea or hot cocoa?

Jamie: Coffee.

Ara: If you have to choose one fiction book as your ultimate favourite, which will it be?

Jamie: Game of Thrones.

Ara: And lastly, who is your favourite ‘friend’ from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.?

Jamie: Phoebe.

Thank you soooo much for answering all of my questions, Jamie. You are FAB!

More about the Author:

Jamie Baywood grew up in Petaluma, California. In 2010, she made the most impulsive decision of her life by moving to New Zealand. Getting Rooted in New Zealand is her first book about her experiences living there. Jamie is now married and living happily ever after in the United Kingdom. She is working on her second book.

Wow! A new book... Let's know more, shall we? :)

I'm so happy to show you the cover of this new book, Undertow by Amber Lynn Natusch.

Undertow by Amber Lynn Natusch
Contemporary Romance / Women’s Lit
Cover Design: NathaliaSuellen.com
Photography: Ilse Moore Photography
Expected Release Date: October 2013

I love that cover! So artistic...

Book Description:

How far does a girl have to run to escape a lifetime of pain and loss at the hands of Alaska's notoriously unforgiving Bering Sea? Twenty-seven-year-old Aesa Fredriksen thought landlocked Columbus, Ohio would suffice, and it does until the fear of regret drives her to return to Dutch Harbor in a final attempt to make amends with her nearly-estranged father. Intent on salvaging the wreckage of their relationship, she reluctantly agrees to join him—the only family she has left—as he heads out to fish for king crab, forcing her to brave the very waters that pulled him away from her as a child. The waters that stole her mother's life.

When the day finally arrives for the Norwegian Queen to sail off into an uncertain future, Aesa can't help but fear the worst. Beyond the violent swells and impending storms, there is far more than death and danger awaiting her on her journey: love awaits her too.

Decker, a young but seasoned member of her father's crew, is a force of nature as strong as Aesa, He's her perfect match, and even she can't deny it. But he too is a man of the sea, and with memories of tragedy and abandonment etched so deeply into her mind, can she overcome her demons and let him in or will she drown in her darkness, forever caught in its undertow?
Book Teaser:

“What do you want?” he asked, cocking his head slightly to the side. For whatever reason that tiny movement set something off in me and I knew why my heart had won. I wanted him. I wanted him for all that he was and all that he promised to be.

“You,” I said with slightly more power behind the words that time. He smiled at me in a devilish way, like he had won the game I hadn't known we were playing. “That wasn't so hard to say, now was it?” His voice was playful, covering an almost palpable passion that hid just below the surface. He was holding on by a thin thread himself, his immense self-control dissipating rapidly. “Say it again...”

“I want you,” I replied with a purr, joining in with his little game. Judging by the response my words garnered, I had won.

About the Author:

If you're dying to know more about me, allow me to put you at ease. I'm a sharp-tongued, sarcastic cancer, who loves vegetable smoothies, winter storms, and the word 'portfolio'. I should NEVER be caffeinated, and require at least eight hours of sleep to even resemble a human being. At thirty-four, I just now feel like I can keep a straight face while saying the word "rectum" (which is actually a huge lie because I just laughed out loud while reading this to my husband). I live with my iPod firmly affixed to my body, drive too fast, and laugh/cry at inappropriate times.  I'm obsessed with urban fantasy... When I discovered that genre, I knew I had found my tribe. Now I write in that world because that's what the voices in my head tell me to do. And they are very, very loud.

Bookshelf Reading Challenge

Me? Join a reading challenge? I must be out of my mind, right? But I did and I'm really happy about it. I’ve been so swamped lately (it started late last year, actually). Time certainly has not been my friend and my TBR from review requests didn't move for a while. Life happens and there’s nothing you (or I) can do but go with the flow... even if it means not looking at your TBR list and bookshelf for a long period of time. *sigh*

Anyway, I’m doing my best to get back on track so I know my TBR will be moving along soon. I feel so good just thinking about this fact. Been so depressed not being able to join and experience other wonderful worlds created by such talented authors out there.

So, why join a reading challenge if I still have a lot on my TBR? Well let me tell you more about the challenge. This reading challenge is hosted by Nette of Nette’s Bookshelf. The concept is to finally decide to read books that are already on our bookshelves. I know you lovely readers can relate to me when I say that there are books on our bookshelves that are just there. You want to read them but for some reason, they are left untouched and to quote Nette, “collecting dust”. It's not because of the book though. It's not you. It's me. And in this case, I totally believe me. HAHA. Yes, I love to read books but of course, life happens and sometimes all you can do is to buy books even though you can't read them yet. That’s not bad, right? Is there such a thing as book gluttony? I don’t think so. But if there is, I'm guilty. HAHA. So, for this challenge, I can choose which books to read and how many of them I want to include. I can also combine bookshelves – physical and virtual.

The best part of this challenge, I think (aside from the obvious fact that I will get to read some of the books I've purchased), is the time frame: September 2013 to January 2014. Since I have control over the number of books I can include, I know I can budget my time well enough.

The hardest part of this challenge, I guess, is choosing which books to read because I want to read them all. Anyway, after several hours and days staring at my bookshelf and Kindle shelf, I finally decided to choose 7 books – 4 paperbacks and 3 Kindle editions. :) So for the coming months, I will be posting reviews of books from this challenge and the ones from my TBR (review requests). Isn’t it cool? Lady on a mission here! :)

Here are the books that I've chosen to read for this challenge:

Paperback
The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks
The Selection by Kiera Cass
Chocolate Shoes and Wedding Blues by Trisha Ashley
The Fault in our Stars by John Green

Kindle edition
Death by Drowning by Abigail Keam
Pretty Amy by Lisa Burstein
In Silence by Erica Spindler

I am so proud of myself for having the courage to participate in this kind of challenge. How about you? You should totally join, too! If you want to know more about this challenge, please click the reading challenge image above. :)

Let's all welcome Laura M. Kolar, author of the newly released young adult fantasy novel, Canvas Bound. Check out her guest post for today and don't forget to enter the giveaway after. :)

Hi Ara, I love the pink! It kind of reminds me of the time I went to see LEGALLY BLOND the musical and 90% of the patrons were wearing pink. That was an awesome show, by the way, and if you ever get a chance, you should definitely go see it.

I love live theatre because it was a play that first got me thinking I could be a writer. I never did finish writing the play I was working on, but it led me to writing other things which eventually led me to this new career as an author.

Another reason I love live theatre is that you get to experience the performance with, or at least at the same time as the performers, rather than watching them on a screen. In CANVAS BOUND, my main character, Libby, has a few moments where she’s watching a performance and you get to see her emotions fluctuate the more she’s pulled into what’s happening on stage. This range of emotions then carries over into the following scenes and affects her as the story progresses.

It’s that type of draw, or pull, I’m trying to capture with every line I write. I want my reader’s emotions to mirror the main character’s in such a way that they carry my story with them long after they’ve read the final page. I want to leave them eager for more and left longing when the final curtain falls.

I’m pretty sure this is what all writers strive for, but being a newbie to this whole thing, I feel the need to prove myself in some way. I’m not saying I need to compare myself to the likes of Stephen King or J.K. Rowling, but every writer should have goals (read, dreams). So I work every day at perfecting my craft, trying to be the best at the thing I love to do most and hoping my readers enjoy the journey right along with me.

If you’d like to share this adventure with me, you can find me on Twitter, Facebook and the web. Thanks so much to Ara for hosting me today!

Hello everyone! I am happy to introduce one of my favourite authors, Gregory S. Slomba, author of The Deliverers series. Yup, The Deliverers is now a series! A month ago, Greg released “The Deliverers 2: Order of the Crystal Lion”, which is the second book of the said series. I am so lucky to have read and reviewed the first book and I am definitely excited to read the second book! If you have time, please read my review of the first book, The Deliverers: Sharky and the Jewel. I gave it 5 out 5 stars rating! :) You can download his first book for FREE (September 2 - 6 only) updated 9/4

The Deliverers: Sharky and the Jewel FREE Kindle eBook

So, let’s all welcome Gregory S. Slomba here at My Book and My Coffee.

Ara: Hi Greg! I am so glad that we are able to do this interview. How are you? How’s everything? Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

Greg: I’ve been great. Things are going very nicely. I had a great summer, very busy with vacations and writing and publishing. Let’s see, a little bit about myself. Well, I’m married to a very understanding woman, Stephanie, who puts up with all my writing activities and have two active children, Christian (11) and Abigail (9). Oh yes, and we live with five cats. I say live with because they rule the roost.

I write training programs for a bank in Connecticut, but I’ve always wanted to be an author. That finally happened when The Deliverers: Sharky and the Jewel was published at the end of 2011. Now the second book in the Deliverers series, The Deliverers 2: Order of the Crystal Lion, is out. In my spare time I like to read, go on hikes with the family, blog, and follow the exploits of the Dodgers and Dolphins.

Ara: WOW! All I can say is that I'm glad you decided to pursue the writing. The Deliverers: Sharky and the Jewel is one of my fave books now and I thank you for that. So, I'm curious, why the Fantasy genre?

Greg: Fantasy was just always something I’ve been drawn to. When I was younger books like The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings grabbed my attention and sparked my imagination. I loved those magical places. So, when I started writing I guess fictional worlds was where I was most comfortable. In fact, the first book I tried to write when I was 13 or so was the 8th Narnia book. That was a bad idea, but I eventually came up with an idea that I was able to turn into a novel.

Ara: :) Everyone has to start somewhere. Let’s talk about the new book in the series, The Deliverers 2: Order of the Crystal Lion. Please tell us more about it.

Greg: In the second book, Eric Scott meets up with his friend Stig the owl to go on another Assignment. Kate and Hallo the dwarf go with them. They have to put a stop to a bloody civil war. One side, the Vynistri, are led by Chancellor Trelango. The opposition, the Chazum, are led by Trelango’s twin brother Selango. The Chazum have been genetically altered by the Vynistri by having lion genes spliced into their DNA. They’ve spent centuries acting as servants and soldiers to the Vynistri. Now, they’re fighting to be free. The danger is that this strife is threatening to escalate and could destroy their world.

The Deliverers 2: Order of the Crystal Lion Kindle Edition
The Deliverers 2: Order of the Crystal Lion Paperback

Folks can check out the book for themselves at my Amazon author page. I also have a blog, www.thedeliverersseries.com and a Facebook page, https://facebook.com/thedeliverers. I also have a couple of book trailers that I made on Youtube: Book 1 http://youtu.be/eWA5JH9kjPU and Book 2 http://youtu.be/2Qi9fFsvbDI.

Ara: So, the gang (Eric, Stig, Kate and Hallo Tosis) has a new mission! Wonderful! I am more excited to read this one now! :) If you could, please tell us more about the Crystal Lion.

Greg: Cool. The Crystal Lion is someone the Chazum believe will come to lead them to freedom. Some believe the Crystal Lion to be Selango, others feel he hasn’t arrived yet. The Deliverers team up with a society called the Order of the Crystal Lion who act as a kind of underground movement. Their goal is to make sure everyone, Vynistri and Chazum alike, are equal and free.

Ara: I see... I have to ask... Is there or will there be a book three?

Greg: Funny you should ask that! :) Yes, there will be a book three. It’s called (cleverly enough) The Deliverers 3: The Golden Dragon of Ang. I am almost done with the first draft and my artist, Daniel Vogel, has completed the maps and will begin work on the cover soon. I hope to have it out early in 2014. I have plans for five books. As the series progresses, the Deliverers will learn that something is threatening the entire universe. They get a glimpse of this in book 2, but they’ll find out a lot more in books 3 and 4. In book 5 it all comes to a head.

I have to say a word about Daniel. First of all he’s a great illustrator. Secondly, he’s only 15. A friend of mine, Ana Vogel, is a graphic designer and she laid out both of the books for me. When I was putting together the first book, I asked her if she would be interested in doing the artwork, because she’s a very gifted artist. She said fantasy illustration was not really her talent, but that her son Daniel had leanings that way. So, I asked him if he would be interested, and the rest is history!

Ara: AWESOME! My, my! I am super excited! :D Can't wait to read the second book. Note to self: I must read the book two before Greg releases book three. :) And really? The artist is only 15? Wonderful! He is really talented, I gotta say. Can't wait to see the next cover!

Greg, do you have advice to bloggers out there who want to become a writer?

Greg: Write a lot. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Even if you fail, you’ll learn and grow. Write what you enjoy—don’t follow fads or what’s hot and fashionable just because it is. Make sure you have a support group—people you trust to bounce ideas off of. Whenever possible, have your writing edited by an expert. Writing can be a lonely calling, make sure you take time to spend with family and friends—don’t obsess. At the same time, always be on the lookout for ideas wherever you are—you never know when they’ll strike. Lastly, don’t let anyone tell you something can’t be done. If you’re determined enough, you can find a way.

Ara: Thank you for the advice, Greg. That's very inspiring! :) Before we end this interview, I really have to ask these:

Coffee, sweet tea or hot cocoa?

Greg: Hmmm. When I’m at work, coffee. On a cold day in front of the fire, hot cocoa. Definitely!

Ara: I know your favourite book is The Lord of the Rings. But if you have to choose one fiction book outside that genre, which book will it be?

Greg: Wow. That’s hard. I enjoy history, particularly sports history and American history, middle grade and YA literature. There are two that jump to mind; Bums, an Oral History of the Brooklyn Dodgers by Peter Golenbock, and My Brother Sam is Dead by Christopher and James Lincoln Collier. The last is a middle grade historical novel set in the American Revolution near where I grew up in Connecticut. When I was in grade school, Christopher Collier came and spoke to our class. I brought my copy of the book to school and had him sign it. I still have it today. It was really cool and the book was great, too!

Ara: Lastly, who is your favorite ‘friend’ from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.?

Greg: Definitely Ross. He’s smart and somewhat of a geek, but he’s a good guy who’s kind of sweet at times. Plus, he’s a palaeontologist. How cool is that?

Thanks for having me Ara. I loved your questions and I want to thank you for all your support.

Ara: Ahh.. I love Ross, too! I actually love them all. Haha! And you are very welcome, Greg. Thank you for your time today.

Lovelies, please go ahead and check out Greg's new book, The Deliverers 2: Order of the Crystal Lion. Here's the book description:

Who will fight—for the Order, for freedom?

For centuries, the Vynistri have been splicing lion DNA to the genes of their servants, the Chazum, using a device called the Machine. Now an army of Chazum and sympathetic Vynistri are waging a bloody civil war to overthrow the Vynistri’s evil ruler, Chancellor Trelango. In their latest Assignment, the Deliverers—Eric Scott, Stig the owl, Kate Endria and Hallo Tosis the dwarf—are charged with putting an end to the fighting and restoring balance to the world. Aided by a secret society called the Order of the Crystal Lion, Eric and the rest of the Deliverers must overcome tragedy and loss to fight for freedom and equality. Spurring them on is the Order’s belief that the long awaited Crystal Lion has arrived to deliver the world. Is it true, or will Trelango destroy them all?

More about the Author:

Gregory S. Slomba grew up in Connecticut reading The Phantom Tollbooth, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings and dreaming of being a children's author.

He studied English at the University of Dayton, and then worked as a banker for 20 years, taking care of other people's money. Somewhere in there he also took four years out and worked as an editor for a flooring trade magazine. He got to go to some neat places (Las Vegas, Arizona, Spain) to write about carpet, hardwood and ceramic tiles. Now he designs and writes training courses for bankers.

He likes to read fantasy, historical fiction, history, middle grade and young adult literature, biographies, sports history, and anything else that seems interesting. The Lord of the Rings is my favorite book, followed closely by The Hobbit, The Chronicles of Narnia, Redwall, and Harry Potter.

Greg lives in Connecticut with his wife, Stephanie and his children, Christian and Abigail.
